Happy Mother's Day!
Since it is Mother's Day, I thought it would be appropriate to resume this Sunday Flowers series, with my favorite flower - the tulip. In the city (here in Manhattan), there have been many tulips planted along the sidewalks, in all colors. It definitely makes the atmosphere feel more like spring! Here's a tidbit about tulips from Teleflora: "Originally from Persia and Turkey, tulips were brought to Europe in the 16th century, where they got their common name from the Turkish word for gauze (with which turbans were wrapped) - reflecting the turban-like appearance of a tulip in full bloom."The tulip is the Aries flower & is also the 11th wedding anniversary flower :) However, it is a gorgeous flower and it represents elegance and grace.
What are your plans for Mother's Day? Did you get your mother a fabulous gift?
