Sultra: The Bombshell Curling Iron

Photobucket

After 11 years of use, my 3/4 inch curling iron finally died. I decided since it is something I use often I would pay a higher price to replace it (I mean, I got 11 years out of the last one I had!). After doing some research I learned about the bombshell. I found it at Sephora for $130. So happy I had 2 gift cards from Christmas to put toward this purchase. ;)
I had so much faith in this baby I decided my first time using it would be on NYE. I think it works 1000 times better then my last curling iron! The curls last longer and it took 20 minutes less to curl my entire head. Double score! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great new iron. Here is a shot of me after my first time using:

Seriously, my new favorite hair tool for sure!

Latest Obsession: Nars- Illuminator

Photobucket
I am obsessed with this face illuminator! I bought it in the shade orgasm (which is darker then I thought I'd like, but I was surprised that I LOVED it in this shade), and use it not only on my face, but also on my collar bones and sometimes my shoulders too. I just love how it looks and picks up light in pictures and in real life of course! ;) I highly recommend you try this stuff. And it last FOREVER! I've been using mine for 2 months and it barely looks used. Just a dab will do you!

Nars: $29 Sephora

Hope you love it as much as I do!

Latest Obsession: Sugar Rose

Photobucket

I am LOVING this lip balm/gloss. It tastes how lemon heads smell (does that even make sense?), has a beautiful pink tint (even though in this picture it looks a bit red), and still has SPF 15. I'm actually thinking I might be addicted to it. I wear it everyday and even though it's a little pricy, I do not plan on stopping using it anytime soon! ;)

Marie Claire + Sephora Earth Day Beauty Event

On Thursday night, I attended the Marie Claire and Sephora Earth Day Beauty event. It featured makeup artist, Josie Maran, and her makeup team giving people free makeovers. They used earth-friendly formulas. Also, Edun's eco-friendly collection was on display around the store.

There was a DJ spinning great music, and a raffle for a $100 gift card to Sephora. Unfortunately, I didn't win that. However, later on, Marie Claire's Health Director - Ying Chu - interviewed Josie Maran on the balcony. They discussed favorite beauty products as well as using products that are appealing yet still eco-friendly. Josie Maran mentioned that she liked & preferred products that are versatile and have many uses; she highly recommended the Organic Argan oil that could be used for the face, body, hands, and bath. I personally like the idea of having a product with many uses, mostly because you really do get the bang for your buck.
Free bottles of Hint Water were being given out as well. It's basically unsweetened essence water, and they make it taste sweet using the oils of the fruit itself. There's zero calories, zero preservatives, and zero sweeteners. My sample was the Pomegranate-Tangerine flavor, and it tasted great!

Overall, the event definitely fit in with the theme of being eco-friendly & for Earth Day - everything from the fashion, makeup, drinks, to the interview.

P.S. Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!

Great find: Cuticle Oil

Photobucket

Cuticle Oil: $12 Sephora

This stuff is amazing! My nails are always dry and I very rarely find time to use cuticle oil. But that's what's so great about this oil, it's a perfect size for your purse and the no mess brush helps it go on easy. It's also not crazy oily so you can continue what you were doing with your hands a few minutes later! Seriously love this stuff! Anyone else use this? or know of another good on the go product like this one?
