This is my first post surgery outfit post! Yay, I'm back! ;)
I'm not wearing any makeup, and I have to wear hats to keep the sun off my scar, but the family wanted to go to our local carnival so I rallied and threw this look together. My son went on a few rides, won a few games, and we ate great food. After 2 hours of that I went home and napped, followed by a 11 hour night of sleep! I'm getting better, but I'm just not ready for out all days yet! ;)
Okay, lets talk about my outfit. I LOVE these shorts! I feel like such a hypocrite!!
Kristin Hassasn asked me how I felt about printed pants (about 4 months ago) and I told her "not for me!". I thought if you're not a size 0 print would just make your butt look bigger then it is. Now, these are shorts, but I find myself liking some of the looser fitting printed pant styles I'm seeing as well. (sorry Kristin, I had no idea I'd like it! That's why you're a designer and I'm a shopper!)
Okay, back to the shorts. I love the retro feel to them and I decided to pair it with a loose fitting tank with lace detail, simple sandals, cross body bag, and a turquoise ring.

Okay, so I like Victoria's secret, so what! lol I was super excited and then panicked when we booked Vegas 9 days in advance, so I bought a few bikinis and cover ups online right away. Surprisingly I loved (and kept) everything! On this day we had breakfast outside at a french bistro Bouchon and then headed out to the pool. We ended up renting a bed poolside and spent 5 hours drinking, swimming, kissing, and taking fun pictures! We had a great time, went up to take a nap before our night 2 debauchery! ;) Night 2 outfit post Monday. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

PS, not sure why the pics say different dates on them. It was a new camera and the display was all sorts of messed up (so was the saturation). I will get that taken care of stat! lol But the Vegas pics will be all off. What can you do?....

How amazing is this dress?! I got it a while back before I knew I was going to Vegas, so I was super excited I was finally going to be able to wear it! I love how it's longer in the back. So fun! I also was feeling nostalgic and brought some of the same jewelry I wore last time we went to Vegas (back in Jan. 2010) and also wanted to visit some of our favorite places. Ryan talked me into going to a steak house this night, but it worked out great because they had some of the best seafood I've ever eaten! I'm a sucker for anyplace that serves sushi or fish and veggies!

In other news, how handsome is my hubby?! I'm a lucky lady!

So this is my pool look. It's Vegas, so heels and earrings were a must! We ended up doing a little walking around after, so I was glad this cover up looked okay to be in public in. It was so nice after a 6 hour delay at Ohare to finally get there and go strait to the pool! We spent a few hours there in the 94 degree weather, went to the room for naps and started getting ready for night 1! Pictures of my night look tomorrow! ;)
