Tasty Thursdays: Bare Fruit Snacks

For this week's Tasty Thursdays, I've been sent these delicious Bare Fruit Snacks - Cinnamon Apple Chips -- to review. They're all 100% organic, low in calorie, gluten & dairy free, fat free, and high in fiber. There isn't any added sugar, preservatives, or additives.

They had just the right amount of crunch and they're definitely a healthier alternative than the junk food I usually munch on, lol. I do wish they had more of a cinnamon flavor; I only tasted it slightly. Otherwise, these tasted great!

Sirloin Apple - My New Blog on All Things Apple, Mac, iPhone and iPad

For quite some time now, I have thought of doing a separate blog on my passion on Apple devices, and today, I have finally decided to initiate a new blog.

I call it Sirloin Apple, for the simple reason that I want it to be simple, and also sound delicious at the same time, in conjunction with this food blog.

At this new site, I will focus primarily on talking about Apple news, app reviews, tips and tricks on Apple devices, including Macs and talk about technology in general.

It will not be just on Apple, but it will be mainly be dominated by Apple related items and information.

And the reason I am doing this is simply because I get a lot of queries on Apple related stuff and I thought I might as well just do a blog on this.

I believe that there is a lot of content I can write about, and I will greatly appreciate if you can check that site out and follow me there as well if you can. I promise you I will keep it updated with lots of iStuff and info.

So, for those who own an Apple device or machine, this might be a great site for you to follow. And even for those who do not own anything Apple, it might still be of interest too!

Here is the link - Sirloin Apple.

See you there!

Think Different - Remembering Steve Jobs

Today is a sad day for everyone, and truly, this passing of a great man affects on a universal level that has never been seen since Lennon died on that fateful day in 1980.

Steve Jobs, innovator, expert salesman, CEO and father, was more than just your average technology chief. He was, as he himself said, a bridge between the liberal arts and technology.

I will not dwell on his recent health, and as a Mac fanboy, many who read this blog will know how his products and vision have helped me in running this blog.

The iPhone, the apps, the iPad have all contributed in one way or another for me to put up content here.

Undoubtedly, millions of folks will mourn today as if they have lost a family member or a personal friend, for that is how Steve has touched us all, even though most of us never got to meet him in person or know him personally.

I only wish him well, wherever he is now, and thank him for everything. Simply everything that he has done to make our lives so much better, so much more richer, and simply, so much more fun!

Steve has not just been insanely great, he was simply exceptional. I wish Apple well as I trust the DNA he has left behind in Messrs. Cook, Ives, Forstall, Schiller among others will carry his legacy well. He is irreplaceable, yes, but his legacy will live on well.

I leave you with my favorite quote from him, and this is from a voiceover advertisment he did for the Think Different ads.

Photo taken from Apple's website.

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemaker. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Erin Christine at SoHo Apple

The other night, I stopped by the Apple Store in SoHo (downtown New York). I went with the intentions to see Erin Christine was perform live, and it was free to enjoy for the public! If you don't know her, her overall sound reminds me of a blend of Lights and JoJo. (By the way, Lights is one of my favorite artists - so I do recommend to check them both out!) Her music style I would describe it as a mix of r&b, pop, and soul. Erin Christine is incredibly talented; not only she can belt out a song, but she can easily stroke those keys on the piano.
She performed a few songs, most of them with the support of her band. She had even co-written a song with John Legend, which sounded amazing. Her current single is called, "Say", but my favorite song of the night was "Naked".
After the show, I was able to meet her. Erin Christine is so sweet; she was very approachable and open to meeting those in the audience. She was down-to-earth and such a delight! Unfortunately, I didn't get a great photo with her - my cousin took two blurry photos & below was the best out of the two :(
Below is a High Quality video of Erin Christine performing her single, "Say", live at the Apple Store. I uploaded it from my personal Facebook account, but I set it so everyone can view this particular video. Just click the image to direct you to the video :)
