Today is a sad day for everyone, and truly, this passing of a great man affects on a universal level that has never been seen since Lennon died on that fateful day in 1980.
Steve Jobs, innovator, expert salesman, CEO and father, was more than just your average technology chief. He was, as he himself said, a bridge between the liberal arts and technology.
I will not dwell on his recent health, and as a Mac fanboy, many who read this blog will know how his products and vision have helped me in running this blog.
The iPhone, the apps, the iPad have all contributed in one way or another for me to put up content here.
Undoubtedly, millions of folks will mourn today as if they have lost a family member or a personal friend, for that is how Steve has touched us all, even though most of us never got to meet him in person or know him personally.
I only wish him well, wherever he is now, and thank him for everything. Simply everything that he has done to make our lives so much better, so much more richer, and simply, so much more fun!
Steve has not just been insanely great, he was simply exceptional. I wish Apple well as I trust the DNA he has left behind in Messrs. Cook, Ives, Forstall, Schiller among others will carry his legacy well. He is irreplaceable, yes, but his legacy will live on well.
I leave you with my favorite quote from him, and this is from a voiceover advertisment he did for the Think Different ads.
