Reem Acra F/W 2012

For the Reem Acra show, I had to be at work so I sent Pranesh Barua -- and I'm so jealous, it truly was a beautiful collection. I would love to wear every look. The shimmering gowns are absolutely stunning. Here's a few of my favorite looks:

Sunhee F/W 2012

taken via Instagram, follow me at audreyallure!

Sunhee was one of the designers that have one this year's Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Awards. Past winners have raised to the top like Peter Som, Proenza Schouler, Richard Chai, Thakoon, Rodarte, Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung, and Mandy Coon among many others.

The winning designers were hand selected by an elite panel of industry influencers. Ecco Domani gives 7 up-and-coming designers an opportunity to showcase their designs during NY Fashion Week with a $25,000 grant to help create an unforgettable show. It, indeed, was a wonderful show. Here are some images:

Rolando Santana F/W 2012

The Rolando Santana collection was beautiful and elegant with a dash of edge. My favorite look is the dress below (maybe not the best pic, but I just love the long, flowy dress and the hint of sparkle):

Norisol Ferrari F/W 2012 Presentation

"For Fall 2012, I am exploring the seductive power of glamour and using it as a coat of armor. Jean Harlow meets Tina Turner in Mad Max." - Norisol Ferrari

During NY Fashion Week, I attended the Norisol Ferrari presentation. There were many interesting, bold details that were edgy, defiant, and a touch of gothic. Here are some images I've taken:

Lyn Devon NYFW F/W 2012 Presentation

The Lyn Devon collection was all about a Winter Love Story -- with romantic silhouettes, colors, and fabrics, it was definitely swoon-worthy! There were many classic pieces that were inspired by Audrey Hepburn & Jackie O and the 50s era in general.

The piece that caught my eye? This gorgeous bustier top. SO want it!

Other great pieces were this laser cut heart-printed top:

this lovely bird-printed dress:

and fuzzy hearts!

There was also a live model in the morning of the presentation, showing off multiple outfits using pieces from the collection. Since the event was held at the Hudson Hotel Penthouse, there was this beautiful patio outside - definitely went well with the overall collection. The following images were taking with my new iPhone (yes, I finally switched over from a BlackBerry - though I still kinda miss it haha) -- find & follow me on Instagram if you have one!

Yung Yang F/W 2012 Presentation

So I couldn't be in two places at once and since I've been busy working, I sent my photographer/intern, Pranesh Barua, to the Yuna Yang presentation.

The collection, titled "A Room Of One's Own" is derived from an extended essay written by Virginia Woolf in 1929. The designer, Yuna, was inspired by the never-ending fairytale fantasy that all women have had since they were little girls. This particular collection juxtaposes a woman's sophisticated adult style with her childhood dream.

The collection seemed to range from pastels/whites to even bolder colors. I really loved the darker, sultry looks.

Here are some looks from the collection, taken by Pranesh:

Marlon Gobel F/W 2012

Sitting front row at Marlon Gobel, I was able to snap some great photos of his menswear collection! The main inspiration for this collection was the concept of a "heist", whether that be taking diamonds from a vault or in the sense of grabbing the attention of others.

Some of the pieces have been incorporated with Swarovski elements, giving men a chance for a little man-glamour on the NYFW runway.
