This is what I wore to run errands and have lunch out with my beautiful family over the weekend. The sun was out, I was with my 3 most favorite people in the world, and this was my go to cozy knit with jeans look.

Now, can we talk about my new triple wrap wrist watch?! LOVE! *In other news, today is my 33rd B-day. I love birthdays! I am not one of those people who thinks that my age is old, I'm happy that I have been given another year on this planet and time with my family. We celebrated over the weekend with everyone (both sides of the family) and now today I am having lunch with my mother-in-law and doing a little shopping. ;)

I meet up with the lovely Nicolette of Momnivore's Dilemma on Wednesday night for drinks and good eats. It's always nice to meet a fellow blogger mom, but this was my first time hanging out with a fellow mother of an autistic child. It was WONDERFUL. Ok, well she is amazing and that's a giant part of it, but it was also really great to talk with someone who just gets what you're going through. We will for sure be hanging out again and she recently joined the CBN so now she's be out at all the great events too!

I decided to wear black jeans and a basic sweater for our casual meet up. Sometimes a neutral pallet is my favorite because you can jazz it up with accessories. I did just that! I LOVE my new arm candy (yes, both new) and of course finished the look off with the mints (shoe and jewel) and my color block bag.

How Do You Scarf?

No seriously, how do you scarf? I usually go with the standard once around and let it hang or the occoasional pull through the loop when wearing a jacket (does that even make sense to anyone?). 

I decided to start noticing what people are doing with their scarfs and this is what I came up with:

The once around, the keep wrapping around, the twist, the pull through

The tie, the shall, the loose once around, the loose keep wrapping

The double knot, the lay it around you, and the loose wrap through

Okay, clearly I made up all those names, but I think they help you see what I was going for. ;) So, how do you scarf? I know there are lot more ways, but 11 seemed good to me! lol

New Coat: 2 of 2

I wrote a post back in Sept. that I was going to treat myself to 2 coats this season. I fell in love with an orange coat at Modcloth and by the time I was ready to buy it, it had sold out. When it came back in stock I decided I now wanted a short orange coat. Well, the search has been on for 3 months now and I was so excited when I found my new coat at Nordstrom!


I was even more excited when I found it marked down to $56 from $76. SCORE! What do you think, great find or not for you? The hood is detachable and I love all the pocket space.
I am happy and think it makes a great addition to my wardrobe.

*please excuse the cheesed out photo. My hubby thinks it's funny to mess with me while he takes pictures. I guess if he's stuck taking photos everyday, he's going to make it fun for him. lol

I went to my cousin's wedding this past weekend and had a wonderful time. The ceremony was beautiful, the food de-lish, and dancing was so much fun! I have to say, it was my first time doing the cha cha slide in 6 inch heels! ;)
I was in a bit of a bind outfit wise this day. In the past this has been my funeral dress (I wear it with a black blazer) but I wanted to zip it up a bit for the occasion.
I added silver, brown, cream, and citrine accessories and was ready to go! I LOVE how this look turned out! I am also happy that this dress now has better mojo! lol

What is up with me and twirling?! lol Seriously, I think I've spun around in 4 recent posts! I guess when my clothes flow, I twirl....there are worse things in the world I guess! ;)
This day was cooler then normal while it rained, and then the sun came through and it was back up to the lower 80's. I was so glad I ended up wearing a dress to this family bbq. I got good sun, hair back so my bean didn't yank it out, and had my pashmina to double as a blanket while inside with the kiddos (OK, it was a bit short for 2 kids under 3 to be around and needing to be picked up repeatedly! Live and learn.)

Sadly I have to say, the dress was a bit too big on me. It is in size large and I felt like I was pulling it up all night. Alas, it is now for sale in the "shop my closet" section. My weight loss is your dress gain! lol

You are one hot mama Kristin! I love this top with it's amazing back detail. I am also GUSHING over this cuff! I wish I would have taken a picture of it when I tried it on because the opening is on the top (not the traditional side opening cuff!). I LOVE that idea! Less opportunities to clip your skin! Beautiful design Kristin, and great find on that top!

This weeks "I want what she has!" goes to Michelle McSweeney. I love the entire look. At first all I saw was the amazing belt! Then I was starring at her jeans, then I saw the bracelet, the color of the blouse, LOVED!!
It's so funny, I swear people must think I'm giving them the stink eye half the time and all I'm doing is gushing over items they have styled! And this look was styled flawlessly!
