Outfit: Wearing a Dress Under a Dress

oasapIMG_40112IMG_40302
Bodycon Dress (underneith): Forever 21, Dress: C/O Oasap, Belt: Dolce Vita, Bracelet: J Good, Ring: House of Harlow, Shoes: Victoria's Secret, Earrings: Kristin Hassan, Sunnies: Loft (similar) (similar)

I was given this dress by Oasap and when it came I new this would not be a "dress" on me. It was so short! Okay, maybe if I was shorter, or did not have to bend over it would have worked. ;)
My solution, wearing a dress under this dress! Those bodycon dresses are hot alone, but I end up using them as slips every now and then. This dress would be cute with leggings or shorts under as well. I'll have to style it different next time.

Outfit: Perfect Spring Weather

oasapmididressyellowringstripedress
Dress: C/O Oasap, Top: Banana Republic, Shoes: Jessica Simpson, Ring: Guiltystar, Wrist Wrap: C/O Kristin Hassan, Sunnies: Loft (similar) (similar)

Loving this upper 60's/lower 70's weather we are having! There was just the right amount of wind this day so my dress was blowing all around.
This is probably one of my favorite outfits right now. I love the combo of the dress with the button up tied at my natural waist! This style dress is sold out at Oasap, but they do have it in black with the stripes instead of cream. It was a perfect fit with my yellow ring, wrist wrap, and a great platform heel. What do you guys think? I'm really getting into layering lately! ;)

Outfit: Autism One- Day 3 of 3

I attended Autism One on Saturday for my 3rd and final day. I was BEYOND excited to see the key note speaker, Jenny McCarthy! Here is  what I ended up wearing:mink pink dress autism one
Dress: Mink Pink via ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service, Bag: Coach, Shoes: Victoria's Secret, Necklace: Oh, Poppy!, Wrist Wrap: Kristin Hassan, Sunnies: Loft, Belt: Dolce Vita

Let me start by saying I am a HUGE Jenny McCarthy fan. When I first got pregnant with my son I read Belly Laughs (seriously such a funny book to read when you are pregnant), I next read Baby Laughs, and Life Laughs.
When we first realized that our son may be autistic, I then read her book Louder then Words. This book changed my world. I remember balling as I read it, but in the end it gave me a bit of hope.
Since my son's diagnosis, we have bought almost all her Teach to Talk videos and my kids are obsessed with them.
Outside of the books and the fact I feel like she has had a positive influence on my life, I loved her on MTV's Singled out. I also super love that she is hosting the new NBC show "Love in the Wild". Yes, it is smut TV, but I like a little smut TV in my life.
So, I showed up 30 minutes early and got all the way up to the second row for her lecture. SHE WAS AMAZING. She's smart, funny, and just a great mom/role model to have in this autism journey so many of us are on.
Here she is speaking:

And here's me in line waiting to meet her, have her sign my Autism One catalog, and get a photo:

The closer I got to her, the more I froze. I have never been shy or scared in front of famous people, but she scared the hell out of me! lol
I wanted to tell her how much she has been a positive influence on me, I wanted to thank her for getting all this info out to us, I wanted to try not to cry and be a crazy fan. I froze. I went mute. I said hi and I'm pretty sure I told her I loved her. (lowers head and shakes it).
She was just as beautiful in person, she was even nicer that I thought she would be, I for sure feel fortuniate to have met her!

Here is all the info and coupons I walked away with after my 3 days . Yes, it was a lot to take in. Yes, it was overwhelming at times, but all and all I am so happy I made myself go. I got so much out of it and can't wait to raise the bar a bit at my home, after all, I am a warrior mom!

Outfit: Casual Dinner

UntitledUntitledUntitledUntitled
Top and Cami: ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service, Jeans: Express, Necklace: C/O Just Fabulous, Shoe: Dolce Vita, Heart Ring: J Good, Sunnies: Loft

I'm finally wearing my Dolce Vita flats! They were super cozy and perfect for this casual dinner out with my family. I am also LOVING this button back blouse. It was flowy in the wind and was perfect for the amount of pizza I ate that night! ;)
What do you guys think?

**In other news, with the launch of BISTM just over a month away, we (myself and Kaitlyn) have launched a new blog! It's called Sister Marie. Please follow us over on GFC! Thanks!

Outfit: Easter Sunday

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketDress: Express, Jacket: Gap, Necklace and Fringe Bag: C/O Just Fabulous, Shoes: Victoria's Secret, Sunnies: Loft

This was the outfit I wore to my first Easter party of the day. Kaitlyn and I ended up not only in the same dress but also the same coat! lol Our shoes were even similar. Great minds think alike right!
The kids had a blast and we were able to stop at home for an hour to give the bean a nap before jetting out to the next party.
I obviously did an outfit change. ;)

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketDress: Hive & Honey from Piperlime, Belt: Threadsence, Shoes: C/O Just Fabulous, Cuff and Wrist Wrap: C/O Kristin Hassan, Heart Ring: Jewelmint, Sunnies: Loft
Here is outfit #2 of the day! I just love this dress. I bought it a few months ago, so I was so glad to finally wear it. With all the bending down for the egg hunts and helping with the kids it made more sense to go with a longer dress (lesson learned earlier in the day).

Here is the gluten free cake I made for the desert competition. It supposed to be a sunflower, but my son really wanted it to be blue. What can I say? He knows what he likes! ;)

Outfit: Blush, Mint, Blue, & Gold

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketTop: Closet swap w/ Kaitlyn (Forever 21), Jeans: Gap, Cami: ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service, Belt: Threadsence, Shoes: Shoemint (similar) , Watch & Bag: Fossil, Louvre Leather Wrap: Kristin Hassan, Heart Ring: Jewelmint, Necklace: Windsor , Sunnies: Loft
Yet another example of everyday wear. I don't care what time of day it is, it's always time for 6 inch heels! I'm also totally digging this muted color pallet. Such good colors for this time of year, being Easter tomorrow and all. ;)
And, do you spy my Paris #PassportToStyle wrist warp?! Who else ordered? Such a beautiful collection.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter tomorrow! Here are some eggs we decorated. The top pic are the eggs my kids did, the bottom pic, I did! ;) Do you like my "love egg" and tie dye egg?! lol
And if you don't celebrate Easter, a wonderful weekend to you and yours as well! xo Photobucket

Outfit: Everyday Wear

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketTop: Dainel Rainn via ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service, Jeans: Express (similar), Shoe: Urban Outfitters, Bracelets: C/O Kristin Hassan, Earrings: Jewelmint, Stackable Rings: Shop Jules, Pave stackable rings: Stella & Dot, Sunnies: Loft (similar)

How amazing is this top? I just love Daniel Rainn. I sold one of my favorite tops of his because it no longer fit me. Obviously I was sad that I couldn't find it again to replace it.
When I received this blouse in my box from ThirtySomethingFashion I was BEYOND excited! It's great for everyday wear or a night out on the town.
I wore this outfit for errands, family time, and well, a normal day! What do you think? I am a big fan of denim paired with flats and a blouse. Simple, chic, and super easy to wear from day to night!

Top: Free People, Tank and Jean Leggings (similar): Express, Shoes: C/O Sole Society, Earrings and Ring: Jewelmint, Wrist Wrap: Baublebar, Sunnies: Loft

Sunday we celebrated my mother-in-laws b-day. We all pitched in and cooked/baked a dish and had a wonderful brunch with the family. We had beautiful weather and ended up playing outside after. The kids had so much fun!
This is my "eat all you can possible eat" look! lol Stretchy pants, loose top, what's not to like?! And I wouldn't be myself if I didn't add a 6 inch wedge to top it all off.

On a different note, I want to thank everyone who comes here and reads my silly blog everyday. You guys are the best and I am blessed to have such a great bunch of people in my life! I don't think I say it enough but THANK YOU!!! xo

Me and the hubbs went out for dinner and a movie this night. We ate so much! Nachos, potato skins, spinach and artichoke dip, one of those appetizers for dinner kind of a nights. So fun! We saw 21 Jump Street, which was SO FUNNY, and had a wonderful time.
I am loving this look! The top, jeans, and cami are all from my box service with ThirtySomethingFashion. SWOON! I am so happy to own white denim. How have I gone all these years with out a great pair?! These will for sure be "repeat offenders" on this blog! ;)

Too Great to Pass Up

I recently went shopping at Loft and found pants and jeans on sale for $4.88 (from $69.50)!! SCORE! The only problem was they only had long black jeans left and I am short. Easy fix, have them altered!
Photobucket
The jeans cost $4.88 and $14 to have them cut and re hemmed for a total of $18.88. Still not a bad price for cute black jeans!

Do you ever have clothes altered to fit you? I do, actually very often. Can't wait to wear my new black jeans with flats! ;)

We took both kids out this weekend to see The Lorax and this was my "movie with the family" look. We met up with my in-laws and thankfully they got there earlier then us and saved some awesome seats! Bot kids sat through the entire movie! Seriously!
It was so fun to see my son dance around in his seat and my little bean light up and smile and say "yay!" at the end of each song. Great times were had! Has anyone else seen The Lorax yet? Super cute.
Now lets talk hair. Not sure what I did exactly, but I loved it! ;) I didn't have time to dry or do my hair so I french braided pigtails and started pinning them up. Took about 7 minutes to complete and it will for sure be a style I do again. Just too easy to not do it again.
