I was given this dress by Oasap and when it came I new this would not be a "dress" on me. It was so short! Okay, maybe if I was shorter, or did not have to bend over it would have worked. ;)

My solution, wearing a dress under this dress! Those bodycon dresses are hot alone, but I end up using them as slips every now and then. This dress would be cute with leggings or shorts under as well. I'll have to style it different next time.

Is it weird if I tell you this was everyday wear? I seriously wore this for a normal day with the kids. 

Did I feel over dressed? A bit. Did I mind being overdressed? Not at all!
 I seriously think I've found the perfect swap out for days you just want to wear sweats, jersey material maxi dresses!

Also, I am OBSESSED with these shoes! I am such a sucker for a platform heel. ;)

So I colored my hair again! As much as I loved the lighter color underneath, it was not what I was going for to begin with and I had these awful blond streaks on the top that were driving me crazy! ;)  I boxed colored it. (I used 2 boxes as I have WAY too much hair for 1 box.) Thoughts?

This is what I wore to my cousin's bridal shower. We had so much fun! Mimosas, brunch, games, gifts, family, friends, and pictures. What more can you ask for?

Dressing to Music: Norah Jones- She's 22

I am in LOVE with the new Norah Jones record. Not just a song or 2, but the album is amazing. This is one of my favorites on the record, but I'm sure I'll have another "dressing to music" inspired my Norah Jones in the near future. ;) Here is what I put on as I slow danced around my room:

Yes, another maxi dress. Some people live in jeans, some people live in skirts, I live in maxi dresses. This is a new one and I love the double slit sides. I had a few leggy moments, but mostly is just a pop of sexy in an otherwise modest dress. LOVE that!
Can we talk umbrellas now?! Is it wrong that I own 3 and they are all from Walgreens? lol Why spend lots of cash on them if you can get them for under $6? Just saying.... ;)

Bakers Shoes

I was thrilled when Bakers Shoes asked me to pick out a pair of summer sandals of my choice. I was given 4 style options (each in many different colors and fabrics) and I ended up falling in LOVE with the Roma in orange. This sandal retails for $39.95 (synthetic) and also come in gold, silver, and tan. I was looking for a great "everyday" summer shoe and I couldn't be happier with what I got!

How cute are these?! They are super cozy and didn't need to be broken in (umm, love that!). I also really love the idea of getting an everyday sandal in a great color like orange. What do you think? Outfit: Shades of Wine

I love these burgundy plazzo pants. I decided to keep everything in the colors of wine this day as I paired them with a blush shoe, cream top, pink blazer, rose gold ring, and maroon lip. I felt very ready for a meeting but I was actually going on a date. At dinner I ditched the blazer and it felt more dinner appropriate. ;)
My hair was super easy. I braided pig tails and then secured them on top of my head. Took all of 5 mins and I actually had 4 different girls come up to me and ask what I had done.
After dinner the hubs and I went shopping. The only person who LOVES to shop as much as me is Ryan. Just another thing to add to the list of what I love about him! ;) While shopping I FINALLY found my second coat! (I've been looking for a second coat since Sept!) More on that coming soon....

Outfit: New Years Eve

I had originally ordered a dress from Rent the Runway and I was so excited when it arrived on Friday. I was quickly panicked when I realized both of the dresses (they send it in 2 sizes to make sure you get the best fit) did not fit. One was tight in the hips the other too big on top. Darn you childbearing body (shakes fist in the air)!
Thankfully I had picked up the dress below at Express a few weeks ago as a back up dress. I was very happy with what I ended up wearing.

I went to dinner and drinks with the hubs, my brother and his wife, my other brother and his girlfriend, and my dad. We then headed to my hubby's band's (Lucky Boys Confusion) show. They played a great set and EVERYONE had such a fun time. I had a little too much fun and ended my night with 2 tequila shots?!? I do not remember this. Nor do I remember the ride home (we took a car service). Oh the shame! lol Talk about mom's going wild! ;) I have not drank that much in years or been that hungover. I guess I did go out with intent to get drunk and have fun. And I did just that so really I'm just a woman of my word.

Holiday Outfit

This was my Christmas Eve look. I love that this jacket was bought from a fellow blogger's shop my closet section and I think it was the perfect color for a holiday outfit!
I kept it simple yet classy in this black wrap dress with black and gold detail accessories. I know it's a bit matchy matchy with the gold and black ring, necklace, earrings, and bag, but it all looked so good together as I set the outfit out on my bed.
By hour 8 I was second guessing my choice of 5 inch heels, but all and all I loved this look. What do you think? (I felt a bit retro sturdiest, but in a good way;)

Okay, so I just had a baby 6 months ago and I was terrified to wear this one! However, I was pleasantly surprised how great it fit! (don't be to fooled, I was wearing my spanks!)
I must admit, I loved this look! Not bad for a 32 year old mother of 2 huh?! lol
I'm DYING to spill the beans on what all of this was for, but it's just not close enough to launch date yet! All in due time! I promise it will all be worth the wait!

I love this look, but I really love my jewelry here! I'm so into gold right now, and I love the gold jewelry I have recently added to my collection. I got these earrings for my B-day and am obsessed with them. I also really love my Baublebar finds! I got 4 new pieces from them and they are some of my favorites right now! (you'll see the other 2 soon...promise!)

I was all set and then I decided that the red lip was a bit much for a 5:00pm meeting so I went with a simple gloss instead! Better, right?!
Here's a picture of me and my sister-in-law/business partner. We had a very big week last week! We officially became a LLC., filed for a federal trademark, opened our business banking accounts, hired our web host, and interviewed web designers! It's all happening!!! Announcement on our venture coming very soon! As soon as we have a launch date, we will be spilling the beans on our baby!!!

I LOVE THIS TOP! Seriously I would buy it in all 3 colors it comes in, but I fear I would wear them (and only them) everyday for the rest of my life! And how lame would that be for you the readers! lol But really, it's my new favorite. It's light weight and breezy. LOVE!
This was just a simple outfit (leggings, a top, and a great heel) accessorized with gold jewelry, a hat, and a red lip! Easy, effortless, and beautiful (well, I think so anyway!).
