I was given this dress by Oasap and when it came I new this would not be a "dress" on me. It was so short! Okay, maybe if I was shorter, or did not have to bend over it would have worked. ;)

My solution, wearing a dress under this dress! Those bodycon dresses are hot alone, but I end up using them as slips every now and then. This dress would be cute with leggings or shorts under as well. I'll have to style it different next time.

I am LOVING my Athena Tracery Necklace for the Passport To Style Athens collection! I can't believe there are only 2 days left to shop this collection (today and tomorrow people, so hurry and shop before it's gone for good!).
I felt Grecian chic and finished the look off with french braid that I pined into a circle in the back of my head. Thoughts? It was super easy so I'm probably going to be a repeat offender on this one.

Outfit: Autism One- Day 1 of 3

I attended Autism One this year thanks to the persuasion of Nicolette of Momnivore's Dilemma. Here is what I wore to day 1:

She told me in advance how overwhelming it would be, but I thought she meant overwhelming like a lot of info to take in, lots of vendors, etc. It was overwhelming emotionally and mentally as well (which I was NOT prepared for) and I cried after leaving the first day.

I guess I thought I was doing a good job(ish) by my son so far. I know we haven't gone full on bio medical yet, but I guess I didn't realize how far away I was from it either.

Needless to say I had a mild panic attack while sitting in a lecture called "What's Next? Exploring your options by Anju Usman, MD. I literally left the room with my notes full of words I needed to go home and look up! I felt guilty, I felt under prepared, I felt like I needed to make changes...NOW!  I immediately went and bought new vitamins and probiotics. It did make me feel a bit better. ;)

I had such a great time with my family this day. We popped into the Disney store and got each kid new jams and 1 toy. I quickly got a bang trim while the hubby loaded our new loot and we headed out to lunch. I seriously have the BEST FAMILY EVER! ;) The kids were both so well behaved and it was nice to be out and about all together for the afternoon.

Okay, are you sick in me in maxi dresses yet?! lol Well too bad! I love them and plan to wear this one like it's a sweat suit (it's just as cozy so why not?!). ;)

I'm finally wearing my Dolce Vita flats! They were super cozy and perfect for this casual dinner out with my family. I am also LOVING this button back blouse. It was flowy in the wind and was perfect for the amount of pizza I ate that night! ;)

CBN Event: Dots

The Chicago Blogger Network teamed with Dots for a night filled with shopping, a styling contest, professional photography, cupcakes, champagne, and candy! I had a blast!  Dots just opened a Hillside, IL location (The Hillside Town Center, 120 S. Mannheim Rd. Hillside, IL 60162) and I was blown away! They literally carry anything you could possibly need. Appeal, shoes, belts, under garments, jewelry, bags, and even lip gloss & nail polish! Everything (with the exception of some shoes and outerwear) is under $40!! Score! And to be honest, most items were either $14.80 and $18.80. They have all sizes 0-24 and everything seemed age appropriate for teens through mid 40's. Here are some shots of the store and the amazing treats they had waiting for us:  

I like to call this area SHOE HEAVEN! ;) The selection was truly amazing. How did I not know about Dots before this?!There was a style challenge and this is the outfit I tried on. I had better pictures taken of me by their photographer and will post them when I have them.

 It was my first time wearing print pants and I ended up buying them. Kinda LOVE them. They are so light weight and I adore the fit.  

In the end, I walked out one happy girl! ;) Lots of new clothes, a $50 gift card (which I used right away), and some other goodies too!

Here is what I wore to my son's school on parent participation day. I LOVE going to see what the class is up to every few weeks. I'm always beaming like a proud mom does. My kids are perfect! lol I'm sure all moms think that. 

Anyway, LOVING this blouse! It's great for a casual day or can be dressed up to. I'm sure you will be seeing it many more times here on the blog. ;)

I met up with one of my favorite mommies and had dinner and drinks on Monday night. I love Kristin. Not only is she a super talented clothing designer, jewelry designer, business woman, blogger, and mom, but she is also just a great friend. I am so glad to have her in my life. 

 Now lets talk fashion. ;) I think everyone needs to own this t-shirt dress. It's great for layering and hugs the body in all the right spots. It's one of my new favorites. Yes, it's a splurge item at $98, but once you put it on you'll agree it's worth the $$! 

 What do you think of my braided top knot? I finally spent 10 minutes and not my usual 4 minutes on this style. I usually just twist it and pin it but this time I teased my high pony and wrapped and pinned it to look more like a bun. To finish, I braided a small section and wrapped that around the base. I liked it so much more then what I usually do! Can you tell I haven't washed my hair in 3 days?! lol Me either, which means this hair style is a success!

J Good

Has anyone ordered from J Good yet? I finally made my first purchase and I couldn't be more happy! This bracelet was $39 and I used my 5 credits for signing up (which can be used to get free jewelry or as dollars off) and my total was brought down to $34 with free S&H. The quality of this bracelet of amazing. Sometimes you spend $40 or more on costume jewelry and it seems lower quality or flimsy, but this is just not the case with J Goods product! I am beyond impressed and will be ordering again for sure! Plus how cute is their packaging?! A little chocolate with my new jewelry, don't mind if I do! ;)
