Giveaway: Bare Fruit Cinnamon Apple Chips

I was contacted by a member of the Bare Fruit team and asked to try out a bag of their cinnamon apple chips for review. I figured why not, but had NO IDEA how amazing these were going to be! There are 2 ingredients in each bag. Organic apples and organic cinnamon. That's it!

They are gluten free (which is key in my house), have no sugar added (again a must for my little man), and the best part, they taste OUTSTANDING! The only problem is you eat them like chips. Meaning you can't stop eating them once the bag is open! They should come with a warning as each bag contains 30 apples. I had to stop both kids, the hubbs, and myself from scarfing them down in one sitting. After a few minutes you realize how full you really are.

You can order right from their Facebook page and also access coupons there too! They come in cinnamon apple, granny smith apple, Fuji apple, dried apricots, pears, mangos, and cherries (all organic). I will be buying these on a regular basis. It is an amazing way to "slip" your kids some fruit with them thinking they are eating chips. ;)

New Beauty Test Tube and winner announced

Here are all the amazing items that came in my latest test tube. I am so excited to try these, I love all the face serums and creams! So far, here are reviews on the ones I love: Skinceutials C E Ferulic serum and sunblock. Retail price $146 (serum) $32 (sunblock)

I use this serum daily already and it's super costly (but definitely worth it) so I was very excited to get a sample! I have also never used the sunblock but am always on the lookout for one that is not going to make me break out. This one is awesome! I would recommend both to anyone.

Fleur Liquide Body Cream: Retail price $48

This creamy lotion is so amazing. I love the smell and since it's so thick, it really softens the skin well. "With notes of fresh grapefruit, tangerine, bood orange, neroli flowers and sandalwood, Soleil Liquide takes you back to warm, summery days." 

GlyMed Intense Peptide Skin Recovery Complex. Retail price $79

This cream was in my LAST new beauty test tube, but it was too good to not write about! They now sell this brand at Mario Tricoci, but since it's medical grade you need to purchase it somewhere you get facials. It is one of the best creams I have tried to date. Seriously. It is thick and rich and after using is for 2 weeks now I feel like I have younger looking skin with less noticeable lines. I know 33 is a bit young to start using an age management cream, but now that I've tried it, I'm not sure I can go back to normal face lotion! This is a must try ladies!

Making My Own (gluten-free) Bread

I want to start making my own bread. I know it's extra work, but I feel like I have better control over what goes in my family's bellies if I start making everything from scratch! As a gift my mother-in-law gave me some bread mix boxes and this amazing bread slicer. Okay, here we go! First attempt on making my own bread:

IT TAKES FOREVER! lol You mix, you cover and let rise for 30 minutes. You transfer to pan, cover, and let rise for 20-40 minutes. Then you bake for 50 minutes. It is not hard, just time consuming. I didn't LOVE this type of bread. The loaf was super heavy and I am a fan of UDI's bread which is light weight, so I want to find a recipe and try again this time from scratch. Do you have any favorite bread recipes? Please share! ;)
 The quest continues.... I think I also may want to invest in a bread maker. Any suggestions?

Harvey Prince Giveaway!

I was given a FunSpunge to review and try on my kids at home. The Fun Spunge is a super absorbent bathtime headband.

I choose this color so neither my son or daughter thought it was just a girl or just a boy thing. Truth be told, they both hate rinsing out their hair.

When you open the Fun Spunge it felt like cardboard inside a small headband. The directions say to let it soak in the water and then ring it out before use. I was AMAZED how stretchy and spongy this thing got after a good soaking.

It's a bit snug on my 3 year old, but he has a big head. lol (seriously he's in the 85% for head size)

My daughter now has a new best friend. It did take a few baths for her to like the idea of keeping this on her head (she's only 1), but now she LOVES it! It's nice to not fight her to look up to get the shampoo out!! This is one of those million dollar ideas people. I think anyone who has young kids would love this and would get a lot of use out of it! I've had mine for a few weeks now and use it EVERY bath!
