Outfit: Bridal Shower Atire

mngbymangoaccessoriesIMG_3541
Dress: Swap w/ Kaitlyn (similar) (similar), Shoes: C/O Just Fabulous, Cuff and blue bracelet: C/O Kristin Hassan, Bracelet: C/O T plus J designs, Necklace: Forever 21 (similar) (splurge), Ring: House of Harlow
So I colored my hair again! As much as I loved the lighter color underneath, it was not what I was going for to begin with and I had these awful blond streaks on the top that were driving me crazy! ;)  I boxed colored it. (I used 2 boxes as I have WAY too much hair for 1 box.) Thoughts?
This is what I wore to my cousin's bridal shower. We had so much fun! Mimosas, brunch, games, gifts, family, friends, and pictures. What more can you ask for?

Outfit: My Son's B-day

beautyearring cluster
Top: Banana Republic, Shorts: Old Navy, Sandals: Target, Earrings: Erin Gallagher's Gem Bar, Ring: Lia Sophia, Chain Ring: Tiffany & CO, Sunnies: MNG by Mango, Necklace: Gift

My son celebrated his 4th birthday over the weekend and we let him have the party of his dreams. He's finally has an opinion about what he wants (and a strong opinion at that) so we created a party around what he wanted. He asked for a bubble guppies themed party, bouncy house, cake (yellow cake with blue frosting to be exact), and french fries. Alright little dude, you got it! ;) He counted down on his calendar and every morning would tell us how many days until his party. He had a wonderful time and said it was so fun. Mission accomplished! Kinda easy to throw a dream party for a 4 year old, I wonder what he'll ask for next year....

And here's me asking my hubby to take a nice photo, this is what I got:
Seriously?

Mother's Day Gifts

I know it's about a week late, but better late then never!

This year not only did I get to have a dinner with my moms side, have a morning to sleep in and wake up to the best kids in the world yelling "Happy Mother's Day!", and attend brunch with my hubby's side of the fam, but I ALSO got super great gifts! I (of course) would be happy without, but these were too great not to share!
Here is what I got from my hubby's family:bagLOVE the color scheme! I can't wait to use my new tote and rotate the necklace and sandals into rotation. So pretty!
From my hubby:
camera remote A wireless camera remote! I have been taking my own pictures via a tripod and timer for the past 14 month. I press the button, run into position and then repeat! If my hubby is home I have him take my photos, but I've wanted a remote for FOREVER now! Ask and you shall receive. ;) I can't wait to use this bad boy.
And finally, my gift from my son:
rock gift
He made it as school and it came home wrapped with him. Since this was his first school year I did not know that they do this. IT IS AWESOME! Probably My favorite gift! I guess I'm a sucker for googlie eyes. My hubby could have saved a few bucks if he knew this before hand. ;)

Dress, belt, & Necklace: Forever 21 (similar), Jacket: C/O Sheinside,  Clutch: C/O Just Fabulous, Watch: Fossil, 2 set Bangle: T plus J designs, Mediterranean bracelet: Kristin Hassan, Shoes: Victoria's Secret, Stackable Rings: Banana Republic, Sunnies: MNG by Mango

I had the pleasure of meeting up with one of my favorite Atlanta mommy bloggers this week! I have been reading Trina's blog, The Baby Shopaholic, for over 2 years now and was super excited when she emailed me saying she was going to be in town. We met up for dinner and drinks.

baby shopaholic stilettos and diaper bags
I had a BLAST! We talked all things blog, some mommy chat, and laughed our butts off over a few foofy drinks. Since her family is originally from the burbs of Chicago, she will for sure be back again. I say next she's in town we include a few more of our mommy bloggers and fashion bloggers alike for a  fun bloggers night out!

Now can we talk about how stunning she is?! I also love that she mixed a light salmon pant with a black top and blazer. SO CHIC!
Do you ever meet up with bloggers you "know" from online? I ABSOLUTLY love doing this.

Outfit: Family Day

IMG_2407IMG_2416
Dress and Sandals: Target, Jacket: Gap, Wrist Wrap: C/O Kristin Hassan, Ring: J Good, Necklaces: Oh, Poppy!, Sunnies: MNG by Mango

I had such a great time with my family this day. We popped into the Disney store and got each kid new jams and 1 toy. I quickly got a bang trim while the hubby loaded our new loot and we headed out to lunch. I seriously have the BEST FAMILY EVER! ;) The kids were both so well behaved and it was nice to be out and about all together for the afternoon.
Okay, are you sick in me in maxi dresses yet?! lol Well too bad! I love them and plan to wear this one like it's a sweat suit (it's just as cozy so why not?!). ;)

** Are you following mine and Kaitlyn's new blog yet? It launches MONDAY!!! Make sure to enter the giveaway too! xo

ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service

Have you ever dreamed of having your own personal shopper and stylists?! Me too! ;) Carly over at Thirty Something Fashion is making this dream a reality one box at a time.
Here is a little info about the service: "A customized box filled with clothing and accessories tailored to your needs from my favorite boutiques is shipped directly to your home. This innovative service is perfect for women on the go. I specialize in boutique shopping, avoiding large scale retailers providing you with fun modern clothing that you won't see on everyone. There is a $250 minimum and clothing must be tried on within 48 hours of receipt. Fee: $50 and cost to send back unwanted items"
Okay, lets get started! I told Carly I was looking for a mix of everyday and go out clothing with a boho chic vibe and a few light weight accessories. Here's what came in my box:

I couldn't believe how many items were in my box! I promised to try everything on, and I am so glad I stuck to that promise. There were some items I held up and was like "no way" or ones I thought I'd keep for sure and after trying them on I had different opinions. It's such a great experience having someone else shop for you to see what they think you would wear. Carly is amazing at what she does and my only problem was keeping to budget! I loved pretty much everything she sent! (good problem to have I guess!)
Here is one of my go out looks. I wore this to brunch with the girls on Sunday afternoon:

Dress and Earrings: ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service, Belt: Threadsence, Shoes: Forever 21, Ring and Bracelet: J Good
This dress is amazing! It's flowy and blew around in the wind. I felt very pretty in it (which is key) and had quite a few people stop me to ask where I had gotten it. That's another thing, most of these clothes I wouldn't find around here in the burbs of Chicago. That makes this box service even better as I feel like I won't walk in somewhere and see another gal in my outfit! ;)

The next is a great example of everyday wear:

Cardigan Shrug, Tank, Shorts, and Necklace: ThirtySomethingFashion Box Service, Sunnies: MNG by Mango, Boots: Colin Stuart
I wore this outfit yesterday and when it got real hot, I ditched the cardigan and boots for flip flops and kept going.
I HIGHLY recommend using Carly's box service. She was fast, organized, and a pleasure to work with. All that aside, she just has great taste. What more can you ask for?! I now have a full seasons worth of new clothes and I can't wait to show you more of what I got in my box!

Every season Kristin Hassan puts out her signature wrap dress in different prints and colors. This style is so flattering on all body types I just had to pick up one in this beautiful print! I just love the colors and feather design, just the right amount of color for the winter months (let's be honest, this dress would also work in the spring/summer months as well so get ready to see it year round). Kristin has a few dresses still in stock so email her if you'd like to snag one of the last ones! ($155, kristinhassan@yahoo.com)

Coat: Nordstrom, Knit: Piperlime, Tank: Forever 21, Jeans: Gap, Triple wrap Watch: C/O Kristin Hassan, Necklace: Gift, Sunnies: MNG by Mango

This is what I wore to run errands and have lunch out with my beautiful family over the weekend. The sun was out, I was with my 3 most favorite people in the world, and this was my go to cozy knit with jeans look.
Now, can we talk about my new triple wrap wrist watch?! LOVE! This is one of Kristin Hassan's new spring styles and they come in metallics (like mine), red, tan, and pink or limited time colors of purple, watermelon, and teal. Who doesn't love pretty arm candy?! They retail for $58 but by using the code LISA20 at checkout you can get 20% off now through Sunday night! Happy shopping ;)

*In other news, today is my 33rd B-day. I love birthdays! I am not one of those people who thinks that my age is old, I'm happy that I have been given another year on this planet and time with my family. We celebrated over the weekend with everyone (both sides of the family) and now today I am having lunch with my mother-in-law and doing a little shopping. ;)

Outfit: Wearing Dresses Year Round

Photobucket
Photobucket
Dress: Forever 21 (closet swap w/ kaitlyn), Cardigan: Forever 21, Belt: Threadsense, Scarf: Gap, Boots: Colin Stuart, Rings: C/O Jewelmint, Sunnies: MNG by Mango

I just closet swapped with Kaitlyn and got me this navy, maroon, and cream dress. I love it! It was super easy to throw on a scarf, boot, and cardigan with and make it look winter ready. I can't wait to wear it in all the seasons to come. I just love dresses you can style year round!
Now can we talk about the Lady Nior ring set I got from Jewelmint? I have had my eyes on this set for awhile now and I was beyond excited to get them. Love sets you can wear together or apart! I guess versatile would be the word I'm looking for ;)

Dressing to Music: Louis IVX-Finding Out True Love is Blind

I know it's an older song, but I super love it! This song reminds me of when me and my hubby starting dating 7 years ago. The entire record is amazing, but this one was always my favorite. Truth be told I have a bit of a dance routine that I do during the chorus. lol I wish I was kidding (lowers head and shakes it). ;)
Here is my outfit that I put together while listening to "Finding out true love it blind":

Holiday Outfit

Photobucket
Photobucket
Dress: MNG by Mango, Jacket: The Desert Foxx's shop my closet, Shoes: Alloy, Tights: Modcloth, Necklace: Jewelmint, Ring: TplusJ Designs, Earrings: House of Harlow, Bag: Michael Kors

This was my Christmas Eve look. I love that this jacket was bought from a fellow blogger's shop my closet section and I think it was the perfect color for a holiday outfit!
I kept it simple yet classy in this black wrap dress with black and gold detail accessories. I know it's a bit matchy matchy with the gold and black ring, necklace, earrings, and bag, but it all looked so good together as I set the outfit out on my bed.
By hour 8 I was second guessing my choice of 5 inch heels, but all and all I loved this look. What do you think? (I felt a bit retro sturdiest, but in a good way;)

Sweaters are a big part of my winter wear, and I have been searching for a great house sweater for some time now. Well, Cyber Monday hit and I found this one highly discounted at Kohls. I am in love! It's super cozy and just the right amount of warm.
Now can we discuss these shoes? OBSESSED!!!! You are going to get so sick of them because I will never take them off. Seriously. ;)
Loving the "mints" as of late. Well played Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth!

My date with Edward Cullen

Photobucket
Photobucket
Blazer: Urban Outfitters, Top: Closet swap w/ Kaitlyn, Jeans: Gap, Belt: MNG by Mango, Necklace: Shop Frankies, Cuff: Jewelmint, Ring: Macy's, Chain ring: Tiffany & co, Shoes: Jessica Simpson

I finally got to go see Breaking Dawn part 1 on Monday morning. I loved it! Yes, it was weird. Yes, it dragged a bit, but it did good by the book and that's all I care about. If you know me then you know I have read all 4 books 3 times and I love everything Twilight! GO TEAM EDWARD! LOL okay, now that that's out of my system, lets talk outfit. ;)
I went with a very chic look and added this great red necklace to accessorize. Did I feel overdressed to be at the movies at 10:00am? sure. But did I dress appropriate for my date with Edward? YES! I went out with the girlfriend for sushi after so by noon I blended in just fine.
I'd rather be over dressed then under dressed any day of the week!
Now onto my hair aka stringy mess. I need a hair cut BAD! Thinking I'll do a full overhaul (cut/ color) after the holidays but in the meantime I must lose a few inches STAT!

Loving Cropped sweaters

Photobucket
Photobucket
Sweater: MNG by Mango (last season), Jeans: E street Denim, Earrings: Jewelmint, Shoes: Express Stone Ring: Vintage, Ring: Judith Jack

For a long time tunics and longer t's, knits, and tops were in but last season entered crop tops (I should say they came back into rotation since the 90's). My initial reaction was HELL NO! lol I'm not the belly shirt kind of a girl (I mean come on, I have 2 kids!;). Lately I'm loving them. As long as you are wearing a higher rise jean and don't put your arms over your head too much, I think they are perfect.
I paired my crop sweater with my dark wash jeans, threw my hair in a bun, and put some amazing earrings on! It's wonderful how a dark lip, some eyeliner, and earrings jazz a very simple look up! ;)
