On Sunday myself and my hubby's side of the family went downtown to see "Come Fly Away" the Broadway musical. We went to brunch before and had such a wonderful time. The show was alright. The music was actually Frank Sinatra voice but there was a live orchestra. That was the best part! The show was 85 minutes of dancing (with no real story line) and not really sure why but about 3/4 of the way through everyone was dancing in their underwear. By the end everyone was in dresses and pant outfits again but I'm not really sure what the point of it was. I go to the theater every year and this was not my favorite show. I think Frank himself would have been like "what the hell" at a few points! lol  Having said that, the dancers were very talented and it was a fun show to watch.  All and all the day was wonderful. I always have so much fun when the 6 of us go out! 

I felt super glamorous in the Moschino dress I rented and wanted to twirl all day long! ;) I also felt very glamorous because all the beautiful jewelry I was wearing. Isn't it amazing how some sparkle and diamonds can light a person up?!

New Beauty Test Tube

Here is my latest test tube! I can't tell you guys enough how great it is to switch your creams and wash every month or two. I always use the same serums, but everything else I mix up. The lady who does my facials also says is good to mix it up as your skin is different throughout the year (oily/dry/etc). Anyway, super excited to try all my new treats. ;)
I'll let you know if any of these items are worth buying.

Outfit: New Years Eve

I had originally ordered a dress from Rent the Runway and I was so excited when it arrived on Friday. I was quickly panicked when I realized both of the dresses (they send it in 2 sizes to make sure you get the best fit) did not fit. One was tight in the hips the other too big on top. Darn you childbearing body (shakes fist in the air)!
Thankfully I had picked up the dress below at Express a few weeks ago as a back up dress. I was very happy with what I ended up wearing.

I went to dinner and drinks with the hubs, my brother and his wife, my other brother and his girlfriend, and my dad. We then headed to my hubby's band's (Lucky Boys Confusion) show. They played a great set and EVERYONE had such a fun time. I had a little too much fun and ended my night with 2 tequila shots?!? I do not remember this. Nor do I remember the ride home (we took a car service). Oh the shame! lol Talk about mom's going wild! ;) I have not drank that much in years or been that hungover. I guess I did go out with intent to get drunk and have fun. And I did just that so really I'm just a woman of my word.

WGN morning news

Dress: Tibi c/o Rent the Runway

On Tuesday morning I was out the door by 6:00am and found myself at the WGN studios around 6:45. We had our hair done by the Maxine Salon again (I LOVE the staff there! I will be going there to get my hair done from now on!) and we actually got to get ready in Bozo the Clown's old dressing room! I have to say, it was a bit creepy with the clown stuff all around, but as a kid who grew up watching Bozo, it was still pretty cool!
We were on live at 8:45am and the segment was a little different from the one we did the day before. There was no studio audience and there was a runway for us to walk! Thankfully there was not enough time to get scared as we were brought in the room and then a few minutes were live.
I think we all did a great for our second time live TV! Here are a few shots from the morning:

I had so much fun with these 4 fellow bloggers and will miss seeing them everyday! A GIANT thank you to Chicago Blogger Network, Rent the Runway, and Maxine Salon!! I had an amazing 2 days with everyone and will miss dressing in designer clothes, having my hair done, and being on TV! ;)

CBN Rent the Runway party

Tuesday I attended the fabulous CBN Rent the Runway party at Maxine Salon in Chicago. Everyone got their hair done in a beautiful braided styles for the night!
Everything was so gorgeous, the food that was being passed around was amazing, and the drinks were flowing. I got to wear the David Meister dress I had worn on Windy City Live earlier that day (can you even get sick of a sequin dress?!).
I just love the Chicago Blogger Network events. Something about being in a room with a bunch a people that all do a similar thing as you just feels like home. ;) It was great seeing so many bloggers out!



So fun ladies! It was very nice meeting so many new people and great to see the ones that I already know and love!

Windy City Live

Yesterday morning was so amazing! I headed downtown and found myself at the ABC studios around 6:30am. By 7:30 our hair was getting done by the staff at Maxine Salon and then we did a quick walk through on the Windy City Live set.

By 8:50 we were dressed and ready to go on. I swear I was the only nervous one! These girls are amazing and everyone did such a great job!

Animal print and sparkles

I was in the city on Saturday night and this was what I wore. We met up with 3 other couples and had some yummy eats, saw a stand up comedy show, and then got bottle service at Y Bar. The night was beyond fun!
I decided to be brand loyal this night. My jewelry was all Jewelmint, my clothes Urban Outfitters, and accessories Forever 21.
I just love how sparkles look with animal print! Maybe I just love the idea of mixing 2 things that wouldn't seem normal to put together.

This is beyond exciting! I have been chosen as one of the five Chicago bloggers to participate in the publicity circuit for Rent the Runway. I love the Chicago Blogger Network!!

-Wednesday December 7th, WGN Morning News (airs 4:00-9:00am) we are on around 8:45am.
