Tip Top Curry Puff can only be found in Ang Mo Kio in a coffeeshop. Unlike Selera or Old Chang Kee, they only serve curry puffs and nothing else, which means they are really focused!
Not only they do not carry other fried snacks, they also do not carry other flavors of their legendary puffs.
Whereas fellow puff makers like Selera and A1 provide a variey of different flavors to entice their customers, Tip Top basically can either succeed or fail by this one singular puff. And succeed they do indeed!
Golden Delicious |
Just take a look at that gorgeously deep fried and utterly sinful buttery skin crust. The color is beautiful golden and pimply crispy. If ever there is a holy grail of curry puff looks, this is it.
The fillings of a legendary curry puff |
Breaking open a Tip Top curry puff will unveil a fragrant whiff of curry goodness, and the visual appeal of the fillings within will immediately whet one's appetite without fail.
Biting into the puff, one can totally taste the crisp crust cracking with abandon within your mouth. But it is the authentic curry flavors and the generous portions of potato, chicken meat and sliced egg that will exude a total gastronomic joy within the palate.
Ultimately, this curry puff does not only entertain, it actually transcends your taste buds into another level of enjoyment. Let's just put this out of the way - This is the ultimate curry puff for silverchef, winekaki and bowlingball. Period!
For this special Double Puff Feature, a word of thanks goes out to winekaki for not only following me during this duo of puff ecstasy, but actually being the lead actor, lead taster, and lead puff breaker. Kudos to you my friend!
