Ninja New York
For Andres's birthday Saturday night, I took him to Ninja New York. This was my 2nd time there, but Andres's first. Basically the whole staff is dressed up as a ninja, and they do surprise attack guests every now and then while you're there. They jump out at you once you enter, and you have a choice of going in the easy way (just heading straight to your table) or going through a dark passageway (which is definitely more fun!).
Also, if you order something on the menu with a ninja star next to it, it comes with some sort of "show" - whether it is lit on fire, you get to pull out a sword, or something that has to do with the entree.
Andres ordered the Sasuke course dinner which is a set meal that includes batto jutsu (duck pate w/ house mustard, shrimp, ceviche & salad), a combo of spicy tuna & shrimp tempura rolls, miso salmon, angus ribeye steak, and he ordered the ninja star chocolate mousse cake for dessert. I ordered from the ala carte menu & ordered the caesar salad, steak in a box, spicy tuna roll, and the rose chocolate mousse for dessert.
For his dessert, I spoke with our waiter ahead of time & we surprised him with a birthday candle and a surprise ninja attack, haha.
For fun, I also bought him a ninja star lol. It's rubber but still a cool toy. I didn't get a good picture of it, but below is me with our awesome waiter, Bobby.
