Tasty Thursdays: Sparkling Limeade

Since it's back to summer time weather, I thought I'd start posting some recipes on great, refreshing drinks! This week is a sparkling limeade recipe from Martha Stewart; this recipe makes about 2.5 quarts, which is about 16 servings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 6 limes)
  • 2 liters seltzer water
Directions:
  1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan; place over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar has completely dissolved, about 5 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat; transfer to an ice bath to cool, or let stand at room temperature until cool. Stir in lime juice. Fill large pitcher with ice, pour in the limeade, and top with seltzer. Stir well and serve.
